Volgens de International Financial Reporting Standard (IFRS) moet op de geactiveerde goodwill in ieder geval jaarlijks een impairmenttest worden uitgevoerd. De test vergelijkt de boekwaarde van de \u2018Cash Generating Unit\u2019 (CGU), inclusief de daaraan toegerekende goodwill, met de zogenaamde fair value. Deze fair value wordt doorgaans bepaald door een DCF- waardering en een multiple- waardering van de CGU uit te voeren. Dit doen wij door de waarde op twee wijzen te bepalen:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Interne analyse (DCF, op basis van verwachte kasstromen).<\/li>\n<li>Externe analyse (recente transacties, markt multiples).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>De laagste van deze twee waarden (de \u2018recoverable amount\u2019) wordt vergeleken met de balanswaarde van de eerder gekochte goodwill. Indien de boekwaarde hoger is dan de marktwaarde zal een impairment moeten plaatsvinden.<\/p>\n<h2>Wat wij voor u doen<\/h2>\n<p>Wij kunnen u op jaarlijkse basis ondersteunen bij het uitvoeren van een impairment analyse. Of op het moment dat er een indicatie is dat de geactiveerde goodwill een te hoge balanswaarde heeft. Wij ondersteunen u in de discussie met uw accountant omtrent de noodzaak om al dan niet af te boeken op de goodwill en zo ja, voor welk bedrag er een impairment plaats moet vinden.<\/p>\n<h2>Ons impairment rekenmodel<\/h2>\n<p>Wij werken met een financieel rekenmodel, waarmee inzichtelijk wordt of en voor welk bedrag er een impairment moet plaatsvinden. Het model is flexibel en transparant. Hierdoor is het eenvoudig meerdere malen te gebruiken bij een nieuwe impairment analyse, bijvoorbeeld aan het eind van het volgende jaar.
